What are Snapshots?
Snapshot backups are exact copies of your VPS Server DiskImage at the time the backup was taken. By taking snapshots. You can preserve the state of your VPS.
This feature comes handy when you are upgrading the software in your VPS or you made some kind of mistake (eg: Accidentally deleted some data). When you take a snapshot. An image of the disk at that time is created
If you don't already have a server. You can start off by ordering a VPS here
How to take a Snapshot?
Step 1:
Login to your PetroSky Client Area then select the Server you would like to take a Snapshot off.
Step 2:
Fetch for 'Additional Tools' and hit 'Snapshots' Button
Step 3:
Hit 'Take a snapshot' Button. You will be prompted to make a Snapshot
Include RAM: As each snapshots needs to save the whole RAM to disk you need to make sure there is enough space on your storage. If you use a lot of RAM in the VM it takes some time to save it.
Step 4:
Hit 'Confirm' Button and your Snapshot will be automatically made!
