Changing Display Resolution in a VPS

    --> Using noVNC


To change the display resolution, follow these steps using your client area and the built-in noVNC console.

1 Stop Your VPS

In the client area dashboard, locate your VPS and press the Stop button to turn off the VPS.

2 Open noVNC Console

Click on the Open noVNC Console button in your VPS control panel to launch the remote screen.

3 Start VPS & Press ESC

Start the VPS and continuously press the ESC key until the firmware setup screen appears.

4 Firmware Setup Menu

Once in the firmware screen, you’ll see options to configure system devices. Use arrow keys to navigate and proceed.

5 Select Device Manager

In the list of options, choose Device Manager and press Enter.

6 Choose OVMF Configuration

Select OVMF Platform Configuration from the list to access display and resolution settings.

7 Set Preferred Resolution

Choose your desired screen resolution for the next boot and press F10 to save the settings.

8 Confirm Changes

When asked, press Y and then hit Enter to confirm and apply the new resolution.

9 Boot into VPS

Click the right arrow on noVNC, press A, then the 3-dot menu and select boot into VPS.

✔ Resolution successfully updated. Your VPS will now use the new screen resolution after completing these steps and restarting the system.
